What the form collects
When you submit a message, the desk receives the fields you complete: your name, your email address, your organization if you choose to give it, a telephone number if you choose to give one on the contact page, a subject if you select one, and the text of your message. A consent box records that you agree the desk may use those details to reply. Hidden fields record the time of submission and whether the form was sent from the footer or the contact page. An unused field named company_url is present only to discourage automated posting; a person should leave it blank.
The desk does not ask for government identifiers, account numbers, health details, or copies of identity documents through these forms, and you should not send them.
Why we collect it
Personal information in a message is collected for a narrow set of purposes: to understand what you have written, to reply, to keep a record of a correction or a right of reply, and to protect the site against abusive automated posting. Organization and telephone, when provided, are used only to complete that reply. They are not used to build a sales list.
The fortnightly record is an editorial note. If you write to request it, the desk will use your email to send that note and to handle a later request to stop. There is no promotional sequence and no sharing of the list with a broker.
How long it is kept
Messages and replies are kept in the desk’s email and working files for as long as they remain necessary to the correspondence, including a correction file or a right-of-reply file. As a working rule, routine enquiries that have been answered are not kept as an active set beyond two years, unless a longer period is required to show that a correction was made. When a message is no longer needed, it is deleted from the working mailbox and from local files the desk controls.
Cookies, trackers and sale
Brandmomentum does not place advertising cookies, does not run a cross-site tracking pixel, and does not sell personal information. There is no advertising network on this site and no analytics product that follows you onto other properties. The Cookie Notice describes the small set of storage used to run the page and to remember a cookie choice. That choice is stored in your browser as localStorage under the name bm_cookie_choice; it is not a dossier.
The desk does not sell, rent or barter names, emails or message contents. It does not disclose them for a third party’s marketing. Disclosure would occur only if the law required it, or if it were necessary to defend the publication against a serious abuse of the forms.
Hosting and processors
The site is hosted on shared infrastructure operated by a third-party hosting provider. Mail sent through the forms is delivered using ordinary electronic mail. Those providers process information on the desk’s behalf in order to store files, serve pages and carry messages. They are not given a licence to use the contents of your correspondence for their own editorial or advertising purposes.
Because the infrastructure is shared, the desk cannot describe every subcontractor a hosting operator may use on a given day. What it can say is that the publication does not insert a marketing tag that would send your browsing to an advertising exchange.
Your rights in Canada
Canadian privacy law, in general terms, gives individuals a right to know what personal information an organization holds about them, to ask that it be corrected if it is wrong, and to complain if they believe it has been handled carelessly. This notice does not cite section numbers and is not a legal opinion about which statute binds this desk in every case.
In practice, you may ask the desk for access to the personal information it holds about you in its correspondence files, ask for a correction, ask for erasure of a routine enquiry, or withdraw a consent to further editorial mail. The desk will answer without requiring you to recite a statute.

If this notice changes in a way that a serious reader would need to know — a new processor that changes the path of messages, or a new purpose — the date at the top of the page will change and the new text will replace this one. The desk does not silently narrow a protection while leaving the date untouched.
